New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

How do I get a word pattern to go with the graph? I'm using beads, on paid software. Thank you very much.

Pat,
Welcome! Smile
No worries, you haven't done anything wrong. At this time the freePatternWizard doesn't have editing capabilities. These are in our future plans, but exactly when they'll be available isn't yet known, I'm sorry to say.
I'm not sure what you're looking at when it says your patterns aren't showing in your account. If you're looking at the mall, then that indicates what you've purchased or downloaded for free, but mall patterns have nothing at all to do with your own patterns that you've created. Those won't show in the mall as downloaded patterns at all.

Hi! My name is Kristy but I go by Stitches so either one will work. I have been cross stitching for about 30 years. I know I am old...lol. My mom taught me. Anyhow. I am a work at home mom and LOVE cross stitching. I know duh right?  Other things I do....play video games, read, write (I am a published author). I usually work on more than one project at a time. Right now I am working on 5 Harry Potter themed pieces for my best friend's upcoming FIRST baby shower!

I am partial to geek stuff so my works usually are geek related. I am so glad to have found you all and looking forward to meeting some friends who also cross stitch!!

Greetings!!

I am from London, Ontario and share my home with 3 cats, 1 dog and a very understanding fiance. He could even be considered an enabler as he usually offers to go yarn shopping with me. (At least I don't have to sneak purchases in!)

I knit and crochet and for the past couple of years have worked towards giving gifts that are primarly hand-made. I have been working on this Christmas' presents since January and am full steam ahead... and like every other year, am pretty convinced that my gifts won't totally suck. bwahahahaha.

I decided to try out the site because I figured, "it's been around for forever so it has to be good"

I look forward to getting to know people, seeing and sharing our works!

Melanie,

I will not even touch acrylic for stuffed toys.. I work purely on cotton there..
(That's a lie - I actually made a big snake for the boys in acryllic.. The pup has now adopted it)^

And since I don't have any girls, and my boys don't wanna play with dolls, there no need to make doll clothing.. *sigh*

There are just NO girls in my network.. Everyone are having boys.. o.O

It would be SO nice living closer to each other.. I really need a yarn geek who I can bounce ideas off of.. Of course there is the internet.. But it is just not the same Sad
When I win the lottery (fingers crossed, know on wood and everything) I will buy a summer home in the states.. :p It will deffinitely have a HUGE craftroom.. :p Maybe it will just be one big craftroom with a couple of beds and something in it.. And a kitchen so that your hubby can make us food... :p Cats are welcome too.. LOL

Scratchy yarn should burn in hell.. o.O
I know the feeling of dissapointment when it comes to beautiful yarn which will fell like rough sandpaper when you touch it..
I would rather not buy yarn from an online store, UNLESS I know the specific brand of yarn..

If it is merino, or alpaca I would buy it without blinking.. But when it comes to regular wool (highland, inca or what ever) there just so much difference in scratchiness from brand to brand.. It's too bad, because the yarn are somewhat cheaper on the internet than it is in the stores.. :/

Have you ever hear of ice yarn?
http://www.iceyarns.com/

They have soooo much beautifull yarn, but I have never tried ordering from them..
Most of their yarn is acrylic blends.. But ooooooh boy it is nice looking..

Hugs
